I have had the distinct pleasure of touring the White Rock property in Napa. This is a real gem of a property. Unfortunately the historic stone building was burned completely by the 2017 fires but they are in the middle of an amazing rebuild. The property includes an amazing cave where all of their wine was sheltered from the fire.
This is a great expression of a Napa Valley Cabernet. Bright fruit, bold tannin, and overall happy experience. Pair it with a nice ribeye or New York steak. Drinkable now or wait 5-10 years. Only 840 cases were produced and they spent 23 months in oak, 30% new oak.
