New Zealand has come a long way in the past few decades, and this is a great example of one of the top Pinot Noir producers. Coming out of Central Otago, this vineyard and winery is certified both organic and biodynamic. The vines were first planted in 2003 and are reaching great maturity. This is an exceedingly small production winery with a goal, when all vines are planted and mature, to produce only 5,000 cases annually.
Red berries, particularly raspberries, are notable on the palate balanced by a nice earthy note. Medium bodied Pinot that is fantastic with duck or by itself with an episode of 90 day fiancé.
